A Cornish care home is closed to visitors following an outbreak of Covid-19 among residents and staff.
Cornwall Live was recently contacted regarding positive cases at Woodland House on Woodland Road in St Austell.
The home is managed by Cornwall Care and Cornwall Council has today confirmed the outbreak.
A spokesman said: “Together with Public Health England South West and local NHS colleagues, Cornwall Council is supporting staff and residents of Woodland House care home in St Austell following an outbreak of Covid-19.
“The home remains closed to visitors and staff are carefully following the detailed guidance that is being provided by Public Health England and the Government.”

It is not known at present how many residents and staff have tested positive for the virus.
The Woodland House outbreak comes as care homes and residents begin to be vaccinated in the fight against the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
