Man with weapon seen on Stevenage estate as armed police, dog units and helicopter respond – Herts Live

Armed police, dog units and a helicopter were dispatched to a residential estate in Herts last night (Monday, January 11).

Police were called at around 5pm yesterday to reports of a man with a weapon in Shephall Way in Stevenage, Hertfordshire.

An extensive search of the area was conducted but no weapons or anyone matching the description were located.

The man was described as a white male in his 60s, with grey hair and a long beard, and was said to be wearing a dark green jacket with dark trousers.

Police say there were no reports of any injuries in connection with the incident.

Officers are continuing to investigate.
