There have been no further Covid-19 related deaths according to the Department of Health.

The department’s daily dashboard says there have been 109 new positive cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours and 670 in the past seven days.

The Northern Ireland death toll from the virus currently stands at 2,143.

Belfast has seen the largest increase in positive tests over the past day with 22, followed by Derry City and Strabane with 14 and Mid Ulster with 12.

In the past week, Belfast has had the highest number of new cases with 112, followed by Mid ulster with 108 and Derry City and Strabane with 102.

Mid Ulster has the highest infection rate in Northern Ireland at 73.2 per 100,000 people.

There are currently 62 inpatients in hospital with the virus with five of these in intensive care and three using ventilators.

Northern Ireland hospitals are currently at 99% capacity, with 48 beds occupied by Covid-19 patients.

In care and residential homes there are four confirmed active coronavirus outbreaks.

To date, 119,894 individuals have tested positive for the virus.
